Elektro Inženjerski Biro d.o.o. (EIB) is one of Croatia’s leading exporters of engineering expertise in the field of power systems. We specialize in the design, consulting, and supervision of electrical facilities – from substations and power plants to complex control and automation systems. In 2024, EIB established EMBAR, a dedicated division specializing in the design and construction of advanced energy systems with a focus on renewable energy sources.
EIB was founded in 1996 by Vladimir Čačić and has since continued to grow, successfully delivering projects across various global markets. From the very beginning, our strength has been an experienced, highly educated, and versatile team of engineers who remain the foundation of our success in the fields of substations, power plants, and, more recently, renewable energy.
More than 300 projects worldwide
Over nearly 30 years of operation, we have participated in more than 300 projects across the globe – from Croatia and the region (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Turkey) to numerous European and international markets including Portugal, Sweden, Ireland, Scotland, Panama, Chile, the Philippines, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Georgia, Yemen, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Kenya, Egypt, Algeria, and Mauritania.
Our team consists of highly qualified engineers who combine technical expertise, innovation, and precision with extensive international experience. Our strength lies in the ability to adapt to any market and standard – whether national, European, or international. We approach every project individually, focusing on optimization, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
A wide range of electrical engineering services
At EIB, we offer a comprehensive range of electrical engineering services – from initial consulting and technical analyses, through the preparation of project documentation, to supervision, equipment testing, and commissioning.
Our portfolio includes:
• design of power facilities up to 800 kV,
• power system analyses and simulations,
• consulting services throughout all project phases,
• assembly of electrical cabinets, FAT testing, and commissioning,
• 3D modeling and visualizations,
• on-site services – supervision, testing (SAT), training, and technical support.
We use advanced software tools such as Autodesk Design Suite, Eplan, Primtech 3D, ETAP, and DIgSILENT, ensuring high precision, automation, and fast adaptation to project requirements.

In 2024, EMBAR emerged from EIB as a division specializing in renewable energy and smart energy systems. It focuses on the design and construction of advanced solutions in the fields of solar energy, EV charging infrastructure, connection substations, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Together, EIB and EMBAR form a complete unit that brings together experience, expertise, and innovation – from large-scale power facilities to the future of renewable energy.
